Studio In the Sun

Sarah Newby, Ryan Glenn, John Roney

Over the past few weeks, I've had the honor to work with this group of handsome folks, also known as Studio in the Sun, on a series of videos for the shop. They are the talents behind the video for the Roses poster and another shop profile video (release date forthcoming).

They are a studio focused primarily on creating videos for artists and small businesses, and just from being a fan of their work already, I jumped at the chance to work with them. After a couple of meetings and super sweet hangouts, we decided to make a video that was essentially half art film / half commercial for the Roses poster and another that was centered around my shop and business.

These guys are pros and they are some of the most motivated and hard working people I know. Their level of professionalism is really surprising and awesome. Sarah and Ryan came by the booth at Renegade to shoot the posters, and then went to shoot the rose garden at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Then came two filming sessions at home, where they brought things like dollies, LED lights, audio equipments, and other things that are really glamorous.

Note that I am not paying them at all, and they are doing this out of pocket so its truly a labor of love. I am so happy with how the first video turned out, and I can't wait to see everything they have in store for us in the future.
